Carl Grandberry is collecting toys not for himself, but for less fortunate children in Memphis. The Downtown Elementary Kindergarten student saved up his allowance and money from close family and friends to make sure children who were homeless and less fortunate had clothes, coats, and so much more. "I just want them to have fun and be good and get whatever they want." He distributes these items through Easter baskets, Christmas toy drives, and many more events.

Shauna Jones is the epitome of what it means to be a woman of strength. Through the twists and turns of life thrown at her, she continued to persevere. As a mother, wife, woman of God, philanthropist, and published author, Shauna Jones has always been known for her uplifting spirit and listening ear.
Her passion is to use her life as an example to empower women. She wants to help women make sure they know their worth and never settle for less than they deserve. Shauna focuses on this, in her book, “A Woman of Strength: The Journey of Knowing Your Worth…Even When Others Don’t,” which is loosely based on her life. Mrs. Jones explains that no matter what you're facing, you can still push through and succeed. Shauna believes,
“Strength comes not when you are at the top but when you reached your bottom. Your true strength comes when you have to decide to fight back and not give in.”
This decision to fight back and not give in has enabled Shauna Jones to remain loyal in a world where loyalty is not prominent and maintain her self-worth in a society that is laced with layers of toxicity and induced self-hate by social media and media outlets.
Shauna Jones has always been about supporting and empowering her community. She instilled this world-changing mentality in her youngest son, Carl Grandberry V and together, they took their vision of helping others to another level with founding the non-profit organization, Child’s Dream International.
Shauna Jones along with Carl Grandberry V, spearheaded Child's Dream International in April 2019. From April 2019 to date, they have distributed over 250 Easter Baskets and have given 50 families clothing, toys, and shoes for the Christmas holidays. Through Child’s Dream International, Shauna also has paid families’ utility bills when service became disconnected from loss of wages due to the current pandemic.
Child's Dream International has also been highlighted nationwide with CNN and through various media outlets like Channel 3, Channel 24, a front-page cover story in the Tristate Defender, and an interview with Fox 13 News’ Siobhan Riley. All because of their giving spirit and positivity while consistently uplifting their local community.
Currently, Shauna is gearing up with her son, through Child’s Dream International, to distribute scarves, hats, gloves, masks, and a meal to the homeless in Memphis. She is not allowing the pandemic to take away from what she loves doing and that's giving. She will continue to be a blessing to everyone the Lord places on her path.
